6/17/1980 The United States Department of Housing has made available “Innovative Grant for Community Energy Conservation”. Vance agrees to enter into this project with the Cities of Tuscaloosa.
7/8/1980 The municipal governing body has ascertained and determined the results of election.
5/3/1976 Authorizing publishing petition for annexation of section 25 and 36, township 21, range 7 west. Petition executed by JM Keller.
8/19/1975 The Town of Vance’s preapplication for Discretionary Funding has been revised by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The town is in consideration for a maximum grant for up to $50,000 and the Town of Vance joined Tuscaloosa county to make a joint application for a grant.
10/25/1977 The Town of Vance is a 1977 recipient of a Community Development Block Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

1981-1987

11/16/1987 Expressing support for state mental health bond issue. All state mental health facilities have been upgraded and improved except for Bryce Hospital.
3/20/1984 The Employees’ Retirement System of Alabama is hereby adopted as the official retirement plan for all regular full-time and certain part-time employees of the Town of Vance, who are otherwise eligible to participate in said System.
3/3/1981 Authorizing the establishment of a bank account by and for the Town of Vance. The Town of Vance is authorized to open and establish a checking account with the Peoples bank of Centreville, Woodstock Branch.

1988-1994

12/6/1994 The Town of Vance enters into an agreement with the State of Alabama, acting by and through the Alabama Department of Transportation. Operation and maintenance of installed traffic control signals at both entrance approaches at Vance Elementary School.
5/24/1994 The Town of Vance wishes to exhibit the fine artwork from Vance Elementary in the Vance Civic Center.
5/3/1994 The Town of Vance applied to the State of Alabama for a Community Development Block Grant Panning Fund Project.

1995-1996

12/17/1996 The Town of Vance may implement programs, projects, and activities that involve the use and expenditure of federal funds in the form of grants, and/or loans. Specific Federal regulations must be complied with.
12/17/96 The Town Council recognizes the need for organized development in Tuscaloosa County. The Vance Town Council accepts and adopts the goals of challenge 21 and will implement the goals of the challenge 21 project.
